Nieuwe jaargangen van topdomein Vietti uit Piemonte
Vietti heeft een ongelofelijke reputatie in Italië. Wijnen van het hoogste kwalitatieve niveau. Alle wijnen zijn pareltjes in hun soort. De meeste wijnen hebben echter enkele jaren nodig om zich volledig te ontplooien.Maar dan zijn ze ook echt groots.
Enkele nieuwe jaargangen zijn nu binnengekomen.

Vinesse: een enorme opulente, 'larger than life' expressie van moscato. Superfris, fruitig, laag alcoholisch 5.5°C aperitief.
ROERO "ARNEIS" 2015 € 17.50
BARBERA D’ALBA "TRE VIGNE" 2013 € 16.50
Vinesse: Sappige, elegante, zeer zuivere en gebalanceerde Barbera. Bijzonder knap voor de prijs. Onweerstaanbaar lekker !
LANGHE "PERBACCO" NEBBIOLO 2013 € 18.99
Vinesse: Een 'mini Barolo' want overwegend afkomstig van wijngaarden in Barolo & Barbaresco. Prijs/Kwaliteit in Nebbiolo onovertrefbaar. In 2013 weer onweerstaanbaar !

BARBERA D’ALBA "VIGNA SCARRONE" 2013 € 35.00
Antonio Galloni's Vinous.com: 90/100. The 2013 Barbera d'Alba Scarrone is dense, powerful and focused in the glass, with terrific energy throughout. A dark, sumptuous beauty, the 2013 is going to need time to develop the full breadth of its aromas. There is plenty to look forward to.
BARBERA D’ASTI NIZZA ‘ LA CRENA’ 2011 € 35.00
Vinesse: Barbera van oude stokken , geplant in 1932. Dit is een echte bewaar-barbera. Vanaf 2017 krijg je hier een van de meest complexe Barbera's in het glas.
Antonio Galloni's Vinous.com: 92/100. Black plum, dark cherries, licorice, melted road tar and smoke race across the palate in a deep, super-ripe Barbera that needs considerable bottle age to shed its baby fat.
BARBERA D’ASTI NIZZA ‘ LA CRENA’ 2012 € 36.00
Antonio Galloni's Vinous.com: 94+/100 ! The 2012 Barbera d'Asti La Crena is racy, explosive and drop-dead gorgeous. There is an element of energy in the 2012 that is impossible to miss. The 2012 isn't a huge La Crena (although there is plenty of richness) but it is one of the more refined versions of this wine I can remember tasting. Bright veins of salinity and minerality support the hugely expressive finish. This is a fabulous vintage for La Crena !
BARBERA D’ALBA "SCARRONE VIGNA VECCHIA" 2012 € 45.00
Antonio Galloni's Vinous.com: 94/100 ! Vietti's 2012 Barbera d'Alba Scarrone Vigna Vecchia is all about texture. Layers of dark red cherry, plum, smoke, licorice and menthol all open up in the glass. The Vigna Vecchia is richer, deeper and more explosive than the Scarrone, but as has been the case now for some time, the differences between the two Scarrone Barberas aren't as marked as they once were. This is a rare Barbera I would be tempted to cellar. Vintages from the 1990s are still gorgeous.

Sweet red cherry, pomegranate, wild flowers and spices all meld together in a sensual, radiant wine endowed with striking presence and intensity. In 2012, the Castiglione is especially lifted, radiant and expressive, with striking purity and nuance. With time in the glass, the wine freshens up considerably, so aeration is a good idea for readers who want to open the 2012 early. This is a striking, seriously delicious Barolo from Vietti.
